杏坛高级中学的创设，缘起于平阴县城南孔子山处的孔子教书堂遗址，相传公元前503年，孔子曾在此授徒传教，后人在此曾建孔庙以纪念，并竖有“杏坛遗响”碑。杏坛高级中学，全面承传深泉外国语的办学理念、管理模式和教育教学策略，致力于创办一所特色化高中。
